The application needs to collect the above information to provide you (consumers and service providers) with better services. The more information we collect the better we can plan and coordinate and provide the right services to meet your needs in a timely manner. The system collects your personal information, it does so in accordance with the requirements of the Information Privacy Act 2009 and its Privacy Policy. The collection of personal information is entirely OPTIONAL. You may choose to provide as much or as little information you wish to share. For the suppliers, we may contact you from time to time to provide you with information regarding this application and to ensure that our records are accurate. Your information will be handled in accordance with the Information Privacy Act (Qld) 2009 and may be accessed by the Network, its employees and authorised contractors where it is necessary. Unless authorised or required by law, we will not provide your personal information to any other person or agency.

Personal information

The use of the term personal information in the Gold Coast Homelessness Network's privacy policy means any information from which your identity is apparent or can be reasonably ascertained.
The Network and hence this application does collect personal information (e.g. email address and mobile phone number and service requests) directly from you in order to coordinate and provide you with improved service provision (e.g. send you a notification about new services or change to existing services).

You can choose to either provide or NOT to provide the information. Our principle is that you have the CHOICE to choose to the level of service that you are comfortable with. That is whether or not you are to receive near real-time notifications for certain events via email or SMS.
